The first Everex Cloudbook has yet to hit the shelves (although it's expected to land in Wal-Mart stores before the end of the month), but Everex is already looking ahead to the next model. According to Computer World, Everex plans to release a version of the Cloudbook with a 9-inch screen later this year. The initial build has the same 800 x 480 pixel 7-inch display you can find on an Eee PC. There's no word on what the display resolution the 9-inch model will have.
Other than that, there aren't a ton of details about the next generation Cloudbook. Everex says the goal is to keep the price under $500, but it's possible the company could cram some extra RAM or hard disk space in there and still keep the price low.

9-in 800 x 480 LCD? oh no...
Actually, there's no word yet on what the resolution will be on the 9-inch model. I'm going to assume it will be 1024 x 600. But the 7-inch model coming out this month will have an 800 x 480 display.
Heh...something about the fact that this laptop is going to be available at Walmart and that it has a huge gap in it's face makes me laugh.
No touch pad. Has that odd touch mouse type thing, I don't think I can deal. I'll stick to my EEE PC... at least until the cloudbook reviews are out.
